At Très Spa, we take our stewardship responsibility seriously. We focus on all of the little things that go into creating and distributing superior skin care products. We are always striving to make adjustments and improvements to advance our management skills. This page is dedicated to providing you with insight into our policies and practices.

Très Spa, Cruelty Free

Très Spa products are Cruelty Free. We never test on animals; never have and never will. The ingredients we use in creating our personal care lines come from sources that have been used for centuries. Ingredients like natural plant based oils, salts from the sea, buttermilk, mineral from the earth, and botanicals. These ingredients have a long history of “human testing” and a solid safety record. We do use Buttermilk in some of our soaps, our Royal Silk Milk Bath, and in our Mocha Latte body scrub. We source our Organic Buttermilk from a resource that guarantees the cows are treated well.

Trés Spa designs skin care products that are as close to nature as you can get. Modern science and technology has brought us many things. Some are life saving while others cause destruction. When selecting ingredients that go into our personal care line, we made a few important decisions long ago and we stand by them today; to

Keep it real! Use only natural plant based oils, organic whenever possible, botanicals, and food grade ingredients.
All ingredients are active. Each one of the ingredients has purpose and meaning, contributing to the complete formulation.We wont use cheap fillers to artificially bulk up our products.
No imitation. We only use essential oils, never synthetic fragrances – ever. So if you want the banana berry pineapple scent, we suggest you buy the fruit.
Choose sustainable sources. We emphacize using ingredients that can be sustained both ecologically and economically, without causing devastation to any region or harm to any living habitat. Whenever possible, use hemp oil (There are many reasons ecologically and nutritionally and to see more information- read the section that talks about why we use Hempseed oil)
Be original. All of our designs or formulations come from a variety of inspirational sources.

Our own desire and experience, customer responses and interactions, and nature around us to name a few. We will not reproduce or replicate someone else’s work. It’s just plain rude so please don’t ask. With Très Spa you can be confident that what we use has been carefully selected with purpose. It is an old world wisdom we rely on. A wisdom of the ages in researching and applying natures finest gifts over centuries of time.

How you do what you do is almost as important as what you do it with. We believe in conserving and protecting resources so our manufacturing is done in small batches, using minimal power, and creating minimal waste. A thought to ecology goes into every step of the process right down to the towels we use for wipe ups (they are 100% recycled paper and not bleached or colored). Yes it is true, we really do carry out many of our processes using only natural ambient light and we use the outdoor sun to dry our handcrafted paper. We plan on taking advantage of this natural light as long as we can as we are certain this may-not be the case as we grow depending on facilities.

There are so many choices to be made when it comes to packaging. With Trés Spa we are committed to helping preserve the planet so we have a strict criteria when deciding how to package products.

Protect the natural ingredients. This is why we use the colored bottles, to block UV damage. Biodegradable. The bags and cello wrap are all biodegradable.

Sustainable. The paper used to wrap our signature soaps and many of the dry ingredient products are made from our very own handcrafted paper. We use 100% post consumer materials. Gift packaging is made from a grass that grows wild and is sourced through Fair Trade. Our handcrafted washcloths and body buffers are all made from 100% Hemp fiber.

Recyclable. All of our packaging can be recycled and we ship with recycled material.

Reusable. The tins that we use for our candles and crystals can be repurposed or recycled once the product is used.

Since we created the Très Spa line to be as close to nature as possible, it only makes sense that the same thought and considering would go into how we package and distribute the products to you. We take a minimalist approach, without allot of the unnecessary fluff.

Remember when you were a kid. You would head off to the playground and within no time at all, you found yourself playing with other kids. Some you may not have known before, but amongst the children there was a set of understood playground rules. You can join in and play along as long as you played fairly. Trés Spa believes that business, no matter what the size, should carry these same rules we all had as children: play fair! It is a simple thing really. We are very careful about the products we source as well as who we source them from. We seek out those who share our same guiding principles, no matter what the cost. To treat customers and business relationships as well as employees with fairness.

Trés Spa supports Fair trade. Some of the packaging used for gift wrapping the Très Spa products is purchased through certified Fair Trade. Our unique eco-friendly packaging is created using sustainable materials. They are made by artisans in remote villages around the world - creating jobs and fair wages for hard working communities.

Très Spa, Fair Treatment

We have a compassion for all living things great or small. While our dominating ingredients are all pure plant based, there are a few products that contain Buttermilk. We searched diligently to find a resource that could guarantee that the Dairy Cows who produced the milk were treated fairly and that the workers who supported the farms were also treated fairly. We found an excellent resource that shares many of the same core values for fairness and safety that Très Spa has. While I do not share my resources with the public as a general rule, this one I am more than happy to share with you so you can research them for yourself: Organic Valley. As a consumer, you may purchase products for food consumption directly from the co-op. You will be supporting sustainable organic agriculture for small family farms across the US. For you, it is another opportunity to make another small choice that can have a profound impact!
