Why use Handmade or Handcrafted soap?

Great question! In our opinion, the short answer is because it feels good, it's good for you, and it's kinder to the environment. Très Spa soap is made in small batches that are carefully watched and tended to every step of the way. We pride ourselves in our select combination of natural plant based oils and natural additives we use to create an exceptional bar of soap for you. Since it is handcrafted all of the glycerin is still in the bar which acts like a natural lotion for the skin long after you wash with it. The scent is from the natural fragrance of the oils and enhanced with additional essential oils to create unique blends. Très Spa soap is hand poured into handcrafted soap molds that create a truly uniquely shaped bar in the end. We use minimal packaging and the wrapper used to package your soap bar is made from 100% post consumer paper that is also made by Très Spa and naturally colored. Très Spa soap feels like silk on the skin and leaves the skin feeling soft and moist. The lather is thick and rich and rinses clean. The scents are subtle and very pleasant. If you have never tried a handcrafted bar of soap, now is your chance! Go ahead, once you do I am sure you will be hooked.

Are your products natural or organic?

One look at the list of ingredients that goes into the products we create, tells you. We are committed to bringing you personal care that is as natural as possible. Our products are dominated by natural plant based oils and many of these are certified organic. We take pride in the attention we give in selecting each and every one of the ingredients that go into Très Spa products. We use a combination of organic, natural, and food grade raw ingredients to create a complete line of personal care products we can be proud of and you can trust.

Are your products biodegradable?

Yes. so if you leave your soap sitting in a pool of water, it will dissolve and disappear. If you leave your body butter in the sun or next to a heat source, it will melt into a puddle. The bath salts and fizzy bombs will dissolve as soon as water touches them. All our products are made fresh from natural ingredients and in small batches so we recommend you use them in the first year of purchasing them as all things natural will disintegrate over time.

Do you test on animals?

NO! We never have and we never will. All of our products are Cruelty Free. The ingredients we use in creating our personal care lines come from sources that have been used for centuries. Ingredients like natural plant based oils, salts from the sea, buttermilk, mineral from the earth, and botanicals. These ingredients have a long history of “human testing” and a solid safety record.

Do your products use Parabens?

No. Our products do not contain parabens, phthalates or sodium laurel sulphates.

Does Très Spa use preservatives?

Yes. This is done for consumer safety! Any product that is water based, such as our lotion, cream, shampoo, and conditioner require use of a preservative. Additionally, any product that may come in contact with water (such as the body scrubs) we have added a preservative as well as the anti-oxidant to protect your product from bacteria and rancidity. Safety first! If you are looking to avoid all preservatives, then we recommend the alternative body oils, body butter, and face oil for moisturizing.

Does Très Spa use Anti-oxidants?

Yes. Many of our products contain oils that will go rancid over time. In order to help protect your products we use ingredients such as Rosemary Oleoresin Extract and Vitamin E. These items will help extend the life of your product. These same anti-oxidant fighting powerhouses from nature also work their magic in helping you fight free radicals that tend to dull and stress our skin. Again, we recommend you use your products within one year of purchasing them.

Do you use animal products?

Only one and we are very proud of it. We use Organic Certified Buttermilk in several of our products: Soaps (many of them), Royal Silk Milk Bath, and the Mocha Latte body scrub. We source this highly rich and nutritious ingredient from a phenomenal resource that shares many of our core values. While I do not normally share my vendor resources with the public, I feel this one is critical to allow you access to so feel free to research them for yourself Organic Valley I am confident that you will be satisfied knowing that the Buttermilk we use, comes from milk cows that are treated very well. Happy cows produce a superior dairy.

What is the difference between fragrance and essential oils?

Fragrance oils are chemical creations that come from a lab. They are synthetic and do not occur naturally. We only use pure essential oils in all of our products, without exception. Essential oils are extracted from plants. Sometimes by using CO2 in a chemical extraction process, but usually through steam or cold pressing. The scent is more subtle and tends not to overpower you. While I can never give you mango berry banana scented soaps, I think the tradeoff is more valuable.

Do your products contain nuts or milk?

Yes, some do. Some of the plant based oils that we use are cold pressed from the nuts of the plant. We do use Organic Buttermilk. We like it for skin care because of the naturally high fat content. Très Spa understands that there are people who may have allergies to certain items, that is why we post the ingredient list on our website as well as on each item.

Do you use colorants?

For most of our products, we do not add any color at all. However, from to time, we may use colorants to change the appearance of the soap bars. When we do use color it is usually cosmetic grade and is in the form of mica's, pigments, clay's, or botanicals.

Where can I find Très Spa products?

You can always find us on-line. We do participate in events that give you the opportunity to purchase in person. You can find where we will be on our on-line event calendar. As our company is growing we are starting to add stockists who carry some of our products.

Where is the Spa?

Well, we haven't opened the spa yet. For now, you can find our products here at our website or, from time to time, at a farmers market, or at any of the varied special events we participate in.

What if I have allergies, am pregnant, nursing, or have other medical conditions?

We take care to post all the ingredients in our products so that you can make a decision as to what is safe for you to use. Many essential oils are not recommended for use for those with certain medical conditions and some, such as the citrus oils, may even cause your skin to be more sensitive to the effects of the sun. We strongly recommend you consult your physician if you are uncertain.
